Buhari Arrives Ghana For Security Talks
President Muhammadu Buhari of Nigeria has arrived in Ghana today, September 7, for one-day working visit.
Ghanaian President John Mahama in his traditional smock greeted him
on arrival at the presidential lounge of the Kotoka International
Airport.
Nigerian leader, dressed in his signature wear, Agbada, arrived at about 10am and was honoured by a guard.
A crowd of Nigerians gathered at the airport under two large banners.
Many waved brooms, the party emblem of the ruling All Progressives
Congress.
There was also drumming and dancing as a sizeable mass welcomed their president.
Buhari won a closely contested presidential poll in March, which
recorded a democratic first as an opposition party won power from the
ruling party through voting.
The Nigerian president, who on September 5 marked his first 100 days in office, has recently published his assets.
